In 1961 Andy Warhol came up with the idea of using popular items in his art he called it Pop Art. He would use pictures of these comic items  and change there colours. Andy used right contrasting colours in his art.

Kandinsky thought that shapes and colours by themselves were art. He felt that he could express feeling and music though colours and shapes in hes painting. He thought that yellow sounded like a trumpet and that some colours put together could sounded like a piano.
